CHECK-IN REQUIRED: Please watch your email for your unique QR code that you will present to receive your badge and enter the event. Check-in begins at 9:30 am on March 20 and the event opens at 10:00 am.

Food Options at SCC: There will be a variety of Salem’s best food trucks onsite. In addition, there are many restaurants within walking distance to the Convention Center.

District/agencies are excited to meet you! Watch your email beginning the first of March for invitations from districts/agencies that might like to schedule a specific time to meet with you in-person on March 20.

Who Can Benefit by Attending OPEF?

The OPEF event is open to all licensed teachers, specialists (special education teachers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, counselors, psychologists, social workers, etc.) and administrators or those who expect to be professionally licensed by the fall of 2025.

  • Graduates who are seeking first positions in school systems, private schools, or community colleges.

  • Experienced Teachers and Administrative Personnel who want to change school systems or relocate to other communities.

  • School Administrators who want to recruit qualified candidates for classroom, special education, support staff and administrative positions.

  • College and University Personnel who want to assist their graduates in the job search process as well as provide information about post-graduate opportunities.

 

Plan for a successful OPEF experience:

  • Check out the 2025 Oregon Professional Educator Fair Candidate Resource Guide either electronically (when it is emailed to you the week before the event) or a printed copy upon entry and start exploring with a strategy:

    • Exhibit Hall Map

    • School District/Agency main booth location

    • School District/Agency interview booth location

    • List of projected positions available (as communicated by School District/Agency at the time of registration) 


What to bring:

  • Your positive, enthusiastic outlook as you seek to match your professional aspirations with position openings

  • Professional attire to make your best impression with hiring principals and human resource leaders

  • Application information such as academic history, license information, reference contacts, etc. to complete out-of-state district/agency applications

  • Printed resumes to leave with Districts/Agencies

  • Portfolio, work samples and any materials you would normally plan to bring to an interview

  • Notepad, pen, and folder to keep information from hiring Districts/Agencies

  • Refillable water bottle
